The purpose of this blog is to talk about my artistic process, and about my life. My life is really pretty simple and ordinary on a superficial level, but yet on a mental and spiritual level, I have a keen sense of seeing colors, light, and patterns. I love to paint what I see in nature. I especially enjoy painting how humans interact with nature, and how man built structures, like bridges, gates, buildings, and so on blend with the surrounding natural environment. I live in a city with lots of wonderful old architecture.
I am a Christian, and believe in Jesus and his atoning death to pay for our sins on the cross. As the bible says, we are saved 100% by grace, not by our own works. Being religious doesn’t save us, but trusting in and knowing Jesus does.
I am married with 2 boys. Jonathan is 21 and studying to be a naval architect/marine engineer. Andrew is 14, and loved to play the trombone and do archery. My husband Jon is a pharmacist, and enjoys sailing, reading, target shooting, hiking, and walking in his spare time. I also enjoy reading, walking, hiking, sailing, and doing other creative stuff like weaving, knitting, etc.
